The fundraiser to help with our son’s medical costs is over.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to those who donated, both through the fundraiser and by purchasing my assets through Itch.io. Although we didn’t reach our target, these donations helped a great deal nevertheless.
The indirect segue is that a light was expunged. You try your hardest and push through the darkness, even with a pinprick of light, and you think you’re doing more than enough. But in the end it’s simply not good enough!
Whether through reticence, lack of trust, or apathy, or personal financial and economic straits, when something like this happens to your loved ones, you quickly realize how much you actually take for granted.
So when the light (or lights) go out and you’re plunged into darkness, you either succumb to its embrace or you remain in its depths and fight it from within.
